Headteachers Welcome

Penruddock Primary School is a vibrant small village school at the heart of the community. Located just outside Penrith and ten minutes from Ullswater and the Keswick fells our history is built upon the local farming industry. We pride ourselves in giving the children many opportunities above and beyond the classroom; we are a Forest School and our children enjoy outdoor learning and exploration each week. We have a strong tradition of sporting success and though small, achieve a high level of sporting success in a range of local competitions and festivals.

We have an active PTA (FOPS – Friends of Penruddock School) who work hard to raise much needed additional funds for the finer things in life. This year so far FOPS have subsidised a range of school trips including ones to Beamish and Vindolanda, have funded a visit from the Science Dome to support our work on the planets and space as well as providing lots of fun social activities for the children.

Our school is a lovely place to learn and work and this would not be possible without the hard work and dedication of the staff who go above and beyond for our wonderful children and families. The children are well mannered, polite and will always make you smile. We are all privileged to be part of such a special team and community.
