We follow the Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised systematic and synthetic phonics programme at Penruddock Primary School.
In Blencathra Class, we believe that through the delivery of high quality phonics sessions will ensure that children build on their growing knowledge of the alphabetic code, and master phonics to read and spell as they move through school. This ensures all our children can become fluent readers and writers. At Penruddock, we believe that learning to read opens the door to all learning and is the key to success for all children.
